Cogan selected as SmartCEO Executive Mgmt. Award winner


Tom Cogan - President, Meltzer Group Benefits, 2005Tom Cogan, President of The Meltzer Group’s Health Benefits Division, has been selected as a 2017 SmartCEO Executive Management Award winner, it was recently announced. The Executive Management Awards (EMA) program recognizes the leadership and accomplishments of Washington’s management all-stars. The 2017 EMA winners’ companies collectively generate more than $3.63 billion in annual revenue. This year’s winners will be recognized in SmartCEO magazine and celebrated at an awards ceremony on March 9 at The National Press Club.

Cogan has been with The Meltzer Group since 2005, after spending 15 years at Mid Atlantic Medical Services, Inc. (MAMSI), and UnitedHealthcare. In his time leading Meltzer Group Benefits, Cogan has been instrumental in building and growing the division, expanding his team’s capabilities, and enhancing the technology and scope of services.

The Executive Management Awards program recognizes the leadership and accomplishments of Washington’s management all-stars – the CFOs, CHROs, COO/Presidents and other C-suite executives leading the region’s top companies. Winners are recognized for their creative management vision, leadership philosophy, innovative strategy and undeniable work ethic. More than 200 local C-level guests will celebrate the elite group of executives on March 9.
